Barbell

Season Preview:

Barbell will transition to a winter sport (October – March) in this 2018-19 school year.

Our former Head Coach, Ryan Brown, stepped down from the position at the end of the last school year so that he would have more time to focus on his real estate career and his growing young family.  Ryan was effective in leading the program these last few years.  I wish him the best going forward.

For our upcoming Barbell season, I am pleased to announce the following new “co-coaches” for Trinity Barbell.

    • Laura Barito – Laura joins Trinity as a former NCAA women’s champion in swimming and track and field at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.  Her Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is also from Stevens Institute. She currently is enrolled in a Graduate level program at the University of Louisville in Exercise Physiology.  She is an owner of White Buffalo Training Systems specializing in Cross Fit, Weightlifting and Sports Performance. Laura is certified in Cross Fit and USA weightlifting.
    • Daniel Russell- Daniel arrives at Trinity as a Master Trainer and Fitness Manager, certified in Cross Fit and USA weightlifting, as well as Head Coach at White Buffalo Barbell. He is a 3-time USA weightlifting qualifier at the national level and holds weightlifting titles in Kentucky, Florida and New Jersey.  He lists legendary USA Olympic and National Weightlifting team coach Leo Totten as a personal reference.  Daniel graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in American History.

Laura and Daniel will work closely with Mike Snyder, Trinity Strength and Conditioning Head Coach, as they guide the Barbell team through the winter sports
