2018 State Track Team

Head Coach:                   Scott Holzknecht ’97, 4th year

2017 finish:              State Runner-Up

Returning starters:      Trevor Warren, Sr.—distance; Jacob Burnam, Sr.—800; Alex Wilson, Sr.—sprints; David Spalding, Sr.—sprints; Ryan Boyle, Sr.—Pole Vault; Shane Williams, Jr.—distance

Other key players:      Kyle Feger, Fr.—sprints; AJ Jefferson, Fr. – throws; JP Pirtle, Soph.—long jump

Season Outlook:         The roster has several high caliber athletes ready to shine.  Lead by seniors Trevor Warren and Jacob Burnam, our distance runners are certainly amongst the strongest in the state and hope to bring home individual state victories in some of the distance events.  Senior Alex Wilson is working diligently and hopes to return from a fall football injury to his state championship sprinting form of 2017. David Spalding finished 8th in the 200m last year and is not only looking to elevate his sprinting, but explore the jumps as well. Additionally, our depth should help us perform well in the sprint relays.  Senior Ryan Boyle is on the short list of individuals favored to win it all in the pole vault.  If we can improve in the field events, and with a talented freshman class, Trinity looks to be amongst the elite teams in the state fighting for the state championship.
