The Jim Adams Scholarship committee is proud to announce the winner of this year's Short Story Scholarship Contest for juniors. The winner is Seth Piatt for his story, "A Real Man." Great story, Seth! Congratulations also go out to this year's runner up, Joe Tancula, and his story, "Curtains Closing." If these juniors would please stop by Coach Owens’ room after school today, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all those who submitted stories to this year’s competition and congrats again to Seth and Joe.

Students who are still interested in getting a student parking permit for next year are asked to stop by the Student Affairs Office and see Ms. Engelbrecht to pick up an application.

Here is a message to all students from the IT Department: Make sure you backup any files you have that are saved on our server, which is your P: drive. We do not guarantee that they will be here when you return next fall. Bring a flash drive or blank CD or DVD to copy your files onto, or use your skydrive or the like.

Later this week, extra garbage cans will be showing up in locker areas. This is for your convenience as you begin to empty your lockers of items you no longer need. Don’t wait until May 25 to do this. Make life easier on yourself and clean out your locker a little at a time.

Attention, all students: The cafeteria will not be available after school Thursday or before school Friday. No breakfast will be served, and you will not be able to wait there. Those that need to stay after on Thursday will need to do so in the Shamrock Hall Gym so the cafeteria can be prepared. The senior father-son breakfast is Friday morning, and the cafeteria will be off limits in the morning, too. Please talk to your parents about this and plan accordingly. Students who arrive early on Friday should go to Steinhauser Gym and sit in the stands before the first bell.
