Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. Defend the rights of the poor and needy. —Proverbs 31:8-9

 The avocation for justice is ingrained in the teachings of the Bible and through the living ministry of Jesus Christ. As Christian educators, we feel it is essential to include issues of justice in our curriculum and programs. They include:

• The sponsorship of an annual Trinity Peace Medal, awarded at commencement exercises, for more than three decades
• Catholic Charities’ Insight Program for juniors
• Scheduled time to honor for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
• Men of Honor and environmental clubs
• Annual trip to the Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C.
• The St. Joseph of Arimathea Society buries the homeless and indigent as they cannot afford such arrangements on their own. To leave the world alone and with no one as a witness to your life is a terrible thing. For strangers to show up and care for a person's earthly remains whom they have never met is an act of grace.
