  • On Wednesday, Dec. 19, teachers will be available in their classrooms for make-up work/test and to assist students in preparing for exams. Students who were absent on December 17 or 18 may plan to make-up exams with their teachers on this day.  The Library and Computer Labs will be available to students. This is an optional day for students, but all students must leave campus by noon on Wednesday.

 

  • Students sitting for an exam must remain in their classroom for the entire 75 minute exam period.

 

  • Students not having a first exam for the day may report to the cafeteria. Students may not be in the hallways during exams.

 

  • When a student is dismissed from his last exam for the day, he must either report to Alumni Hall or leave campus. Students may not remain in the hallways.

 

  • Breakfast only will be available in the cafeteria. Cafeteria hours during exams are 7 am to 1 pm. Please plan accordingly.

 

  • Seniors are eligible for exam exemption if they maintain a 90 percent or better for quarters 1 and 2.

The junior retreat (Harlan-Hughes) that was cancelled November 29 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 16. It will begin at 9 a.m., with return to school between 2:30-2:45.

Blessings In a Backpack Drive going on thru tomorrow. Drop off donations in the rotunda or outside of T215. Items needed: canned vegetables, canned ham or other nonperishable meats, boxed dressing (only water needed), boxed desserts (only water needed), boxed mashed potatoes (only water needed) and cornbread mixes (only water needed).

Balfour senior assembly has been rescheduled for January 8 during advising.

Today will be a $1 dress down day benefiting Special Olympic Kentucky.

Mr. Luken is gearing up for the Giving Tree! Those interested in supplying a $25 gift to Community Catholic in the Portland neighborhood, sign-ups will begin this week. The Christmas party for service hours will be December 16 from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Seniors: If you’re interested in participating in this year’s Pink-White Dance Team, see Ms. Kerns in Academic services to sign up and receive your information packet.

House News:

Principal’s Challenge: Rube Goldberg Machine Contest- Catch a Christmas Elf today during advising in F133.

Activities:

Congratulations to Dante House on winning this quarter’s marquee challenge. Dante had the highest total number of student and faculty­ attendees at the fall play, quick recall match and varsity basketball game. Dante will enjoy a nacho bar during Advising on Monday in Alumni Hall. Way to go Phoenix!

Attention all students wishing to play in the open division of intramural basketball: Team rosters must be completed in the Sophomore or Jr.-Sr. divisions this week. Teams captains must turn in your roster by tomorrow. Rosters may be picked up from Coach Chancellor or Mr. Backes during lunch or after school in their classrooms, F340 or F243. One check for the entire team MUST be turned in with your roster.

For all Green Cross members and all students interested in starting out the Christmas holidays in the right spirit:  Mr. Budniak is leading another Trinity group down to the Wayside Christian Mission Women and Children’s Shelter to set up the Christmas Store on Sunday, Dec. 16 from noon until 3 P.M.  Please see him for details and sign-ups!
