The Louisville Bar Association’s 2018 Summer Law Institute (SLI): The SLI will be held at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law the week of Sunday, June 10 to Saturday, June 16. This is a 7- day residential program for high school students interested in the law and the legal profession. As in prior years, we hope to have field trips to the federal courthouse, the Judicial Center, and Bellarmine University. The daily agenda will include panel discussions with attorneys and judges, mock trial sessions, and topics taught by attorneys and law school professors. The SLI is funded in part by the Louisville Bar Foundation which allows us to keep the cost to students at $200, including housing and meals. A limited number of scholarships are available. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 11 and applications should be mailed to the Louisville Bar Association or scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications are available online or in academic services.
Louis-Edward Nicklies Scholarship Fund. Students must be pursuing a career in Law, Engineering, Teaching, Medicine, or Ministry, and must enroll at an accredited institution in Jefferson County, KY. The deadline is March 23, 2018. See Mr. Manning or Ms. Stich for the application.
Junior Retreats have started up again! Not sure when you go? Check the rosters posted outside Campus Ministry offices and in your theology classrooms. On your retreat day, report to the cafeteria instead of 1st block. You can dress down in jeans, a collared shirt or Trinity t-shirt, and sneakers. You’ll be off campus all day and lunch is included.

4th Day meetings on Thursdays during Advising for Seniors who have been on a senior retreat. The meetings begin at 2:15 and Campus Ministry will give you a pass to return to your Advising.

The new Bitcoin Club! Don’t know what that is? Come find out! Bitcoin has gone up 1200% in the past year. There will be successful Bitcoin guest speakers at the next meeting on Wednesday, March 7. The club will meet in Mr. Backes’s room, F243.
Attention all students not currently involved in a “spring” or “club” sport here at Trinity. On March 15, in Convocation Hall at 3:15, there will be an “all-class” ping pong tournament. If you are interested, show up in Convocation Hall on that day no later then 3:10 p.m.

Team Rosters are due TODAY! A mandatory Intramural Volleyball Captain’s meeting will be held on Monday, March 5 after school in the computer lab to discuss rules and schedules. Play will start Monday, March 12 and run thru the end of April. If you want to play intramural volleyball, but don’t know anyone else who is playing, or you can’t get a full team together, see Mrs. Mason, she’ll match you up with others like you or a team that could use another player.
Any senior interested in participating in this year’s Pink White Dance should plan to attend the interest meeting during Advising on Monday, March 5. You must sign up with Ms. Stich by tomorrow to be called out of Advising.
Your Lacrosse Rocks open the 2018 season on Saturday with a game in Nashville against Montgomery Bell Academy. The home opener for the Rocks will be this Sunday at 1 p.m. in Marshall Stadium versus Christian Brothers High School from Memphis. Come out on Sunday & cheer on the Rocks playing the fastest game on two feet!
Barbell Club practice will be Mondays at 5:15 and Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30. New members are welcome!
