Opening a new school year is a massive undertaking, and we are hard at work to ensure that the 2017-18 school year begins in fine fashion. A few notes of importance that were emailed to parents recently:
Book Day, Tuesday, Aug. 8, has the following schedule:
Seniors – 8-9:30 a.m.
Freshmen – 9:30-11 a.m.
Juniors – 12:30-1:45 p.m.
Sophomores – 1:45-3 p.m.
Seniors will remain following their book purchases to accompany Freshman parents and students to their lockers, and to meet their House Directors.
Prior to Book Day, there are several very important steps students and their parents need to take to ensure they are ready to be in close contact with their teachers, including the creation of their PowerSchool accounts and completion of online tasks:
Parents must update and/or complete the Demographics and Parent Agreement form.
- Parents should complete the Activities permission form, which okays their son’s participation in clubs, sports and activities this year.
- Students and parents need to confirm they have read and will abide by our Code of Conduct.
Students should register their electronic devices via the Device Registration form found under the Ecollect Forms tab in PowerSchool.
Parents are welcome to look over their son’s book list and buy books online. We will likely have better deals here at Trinity and only books bought here can be sold back at the end of the year.
Parents should bring any updated health information, volunteer forms, and Campus Ministry information to Book Day.
Parents can sign up for emergency notification via the Alert Solutions instructions sent in the July mailing.
Following Book Day, we have a few days to catch our collective breath. Don’t forget: Student summer reading should be completed by the first day of school.
Monday, Aug. 14 is New Student Day. On this day, only members of the Class of 2021 and other students who are new to Trinity attend an abbreviated class schedule.
Tuesday, Aug. 15 is the first day of classes for ALL. Let’s have a greaT school year!
