Football Rocks Capture KHSAA State Title #25

The Football Shamrocks captured the school’s 25th State Championship on a crisp sunny day in Lexington at UK’s Kroger Field. The temperature hovered close to 60 degrees, but the Rocks’ attack was stifling as they made a 35-14 halftime lead stand in the 38-21 victory over archival St. Xavier.

The Rocks have now won 14 of the past 15 meetings between the two teams.

The game marked the second straight 15-0 undefeated season for Coach Bob Beatty’s team, which now owns a state-best 30-game win streak.
