Trinity Teachers Travel to Puerto Rico

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, two Trinity teachers travel to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico to provide a bit of hope to those impacted. “I want to thank you for the support you gave to our Beacon of Light campaign,” wrote social studies teacher Chad Waggoner in an email to colleagues. Waggoner will travel with world languages instructor Maria Martin, who was born on the island. “In just FOUR school days, the Trinity community (along with donations from St. Edward and St. Margaret Mary) raised over $8,000 and over 1,100 pounds of batteries, flashlights, and other gifts.”

“It is inspiring to see the various outreach efforts this fall for victims of the hurricane season,” said school president Dr. Rob Mullen ’77. “We have raised close to $30,000 in money and supplies. This latest effort by Chad and Maria will make an immediate impact.”
