Robotics Camp

For Students Entering Grades 7-9 (boys and girls)

June 11 – June 15 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

This session is limited to the first 20 paid registrants

Cost: $100

Note: Checks should be made out to Mary Mason and payment is due no later than the first day of camp.

During this camp students will learn the basics of Robotics using the LEGO Mindstorms Robot kits. They will build a basic robot and learn how to control it with an app on their phone or iPad. They will also learn to code the commands that control the robot’s movement.  Students will also learn how to program robots to perform specific tasks like using an ultrasonic sensor to avoid an object or a color sensor to make different decisions. Once students are comfortable with controlling, they will design their own robots for a variety of activities including a Drag Race and a Battle Bot competition.

This camp will be held at Trinity High School, in the newly remodeled Gregory H. Brown Technology Center and be led by IT Instructor Ms. Mary B. Mason
