The purpose of the Trinity High School Math Team is to generate interest in and enthusiasm for mathematics.
We participate in two types of competition. The first is the U.S. national competition in February and March. The second is the Louisville High School Mathematics League, consisting of 28 high schools. Competitions for this league take place in October, November, February and March.
Trinity has finished in the top four places in the Louisville High School Math League for the past nine years.
In addition, the Math Club has recently added a Mu Alpha Theta chapter which is a national math club and honor society. Students who have completed the equivalent of four semesters of high school level mathematics, are currently enrolled in math class, and have a math GPA of 3.0 or higher in Advanced and/or Honors level math courses are eligible to apply for membership.
