Ice Hockey

Trinity began its ice hockey program in 2000 and competes in the Kentucky High School Hockey League (KHSHL). The Ice Rocks compete against other Kentucky high schools and various other hockey programs throughout the region.

In Kentucky, the Ice Rocks play teams in Louisville, Lexington and Owensboro. In addition to the KHSHL schedule, the Ice Rocks travel to Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee for excellent competition against top teams from Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis and Nashville.

The Trinity Ice Rocks have won numerous out-of-state tournaments, five Kentucky state titles (2001, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2011) and has been Kentucky State Runner-up five times (2008, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016).

Please note: All Ice Rocks home games are played at Iceland Sports Complex, 1701 UPS Drive, Louisville, KY.

The team will play a very challenging (40) game regular season schedule, including 12 league games, 20 non-league games, two tournaments plus the state playoffs to be held in Louisville, March 1 – 3, 2019 at Iceland.  The Rocks will face traditionally strong Ice Hockey programs from MBA, Elder, John Paul II, South Indy, as well as rival St X.  The state championship race should come down to one of these four teams – Northern Kentucky, Metro Louisville, Owensboro and Trinity.  This is the year the Ice Rocks want to hoist the state championship trophy in our home rink at Iceland.
