Blessings in a Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack is a nonprofit organization that organizes individuals and communities to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry. They send bags of food home every weekend of the school year to children who are considered “food insecure.”
Through December 6, they will be holding a food drive at Trinity, led by students Michael Chou, Matthew Chou, Nick Huls, and Jack McClellan, for Mill Creek Elementary School. These Holiday Baskets will help feed children over the holidays.

Please donate canned goods in the Rotunda at Trinity before our deadline. Monetary donations are accepted online at or in person at their headquarters at 4121 Shelbyville Rd.
