Commonwealth Credit Union $1,000 Scholarship

Commonwealth Credit Union is excited to share with the Class of 2019 an opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship! In order to further the educational endeavors of all students, this scholarship can be used at any post-secondary institution, including trade schools and other forms of higher education, that result in students earning a diploma or certification.

Who is Eligible?
All* high school seniors who are the primary account holder** on their Commonwealth Credit Union membership on or before March 15, 2019. Applicants must be attending a university, college, secondary education, or trade school resulting in certification or license full time in the fall of 2019 and provide verification of acceptance/enrollment to said institution. Scholarship winners must agree to attend a minimum of two (2) presentation ceremonies. If selected, the students will also need to provide their official high school transcript.
*CCU employees, board members, scholarship judges, and their families are not eligible.

What is the amount of the scholarship?
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to 4 graduating high school seniors. This scholarship is non-transferable and distributed as a one-time payment.

When is the application due?
The application deadline is March 30, 2019, at 12:00 noon EST.

How do student apply?
Students will need to produce and upload a 5-7-minute Unlisted Video to YouTube that addresses each of the following:
• How are you bettering lives in your community now?
• How can CCU better the lives of college-aged students?
• How will your education enable you to better lives in the future?
• What are you looking for from your banking experience?
(An unlisted video is a type of private video. Unlisted means that only people with the url link can view the video, so that it remains private.)
