Mr. Diehl will be selling books before school on Monday, Thursday and Friday and after school every day. If you need to purchase a book, please see him in the cafeteria by Academic Service during one of these times.
Opening mass is today, Aug. 23. This mass is a time for us to pause, celebrate the beginning of a new school year, and ask for God’s blessings on the Trinity family.
On Friday morning, report to ADVISING. After attendance, we will be dismissed to the gym and will sit with Advising in assigned locations. Seniors will sit in chairs on the floor of the gym. All students are encouraged to wear a sport coat for this special event. Dismissal for the day will be at about 10 a.m.
There is still time for you to get your Sports Pass. For any student interested in cheering on the Rocks in all sports come to the athletic office and purchase a sports pass. They are $75 and will allow your access to all home sporting events. Just show your sports pass at the gate and head in to cheer on your Rocks.

Do you ride the TARC? Do you do research for your classes? If the answer to at least one of these questions is yes, you need a Power+Plus card. This Power+Plus card gives you the discounted student TARC rate and works as the Louisville Free Public Library’s library card, giving you access to their vast collection of books and databases, including those pictured here, which we do not have at Trinity. To get one, see Mrs. deGolian in the library or have your advisor send her your name. Our goal is for everyone to have one.
The Trinity Faculty and Staff Trivia Challenge will be the first House contest of the school year. The contest will take place during Advising on Thursday, Aug. 29. This fun and fast-paced trivia game will test how much Advising groups know about Trinity’s faculty and staff. The House with the highest overall score will receive 20 points. The top five Advising groups will receive pop tarts and milk.
The varsity football team’s home opener against Carmel is the first House marquee event of the school year. The game will take place tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Marshall Stadium. Use the “Trinity Shamrocks” app to check in during the game and earn your House a point. Those students who check in will be entered in a raffle to receive $10 gift cards to Jimmy John’s.
Rock climbing club will meet in Mr. Serochi’s room, C176, Tuesday after school. If you cannot make the meeting please see Mr. Serochi or Mr. Hammer.
Are you interested in trivia? Like to watch Jeopardy? Love to learn random facts and surprise your friends? Please come to the quick recall team meeting on Wednesday in Mr. Amick’s room, F331. This meeting is for ALL grades interested in joining the team. No prior experience necessary. The Trinity academic team is 4-year District Champ and reigning Region Champ, so join a Trinity powerhouse. The meeting starts at 3 and will be over by 3:30. If you can’t attend but are interested, please see Mr. Amick in F331.
Trinity’s Robotics Club will have its first meeting on Monday after school in the Technology Center on the ground floor of Old Trinity Hall. Come check us out! We have something for everyone. We have LEGO Mindstorms, we have VEX, and we have an indoor drone. You can come just for fun, or you can wear your game face and join our competition teams. We need designers, builders, and programmers. Think about it – mark your planner and join the Trinity Robotics Club next Monday. All those interested in joining the Video Game club, please come to the first meeting afterschool on Tuesday from 3-4:30. Meetings are held every 2nd, 4th and sometimes 5th Tuesday of the month in Mr. Sobczyk’s Room F338. Game on!
Attention all food lovers: The Culinary Club will meet in the school kitchen on Tuesday and on Tuesday, Sept 10– from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Make plans to attend one or both meetings to say hello to Chef Lee and Chef Jeremy and to learn about some upcoming fantastic food events! “See you in the Kitchen!”

Look around you. You are surrounded by a world full of electronics? But how does it all work? Would you like to gain more insight into this subject? If so, sign up for the Electronics Club with Mr. CM in F332. This hands-on club includes activities like soldering, de-soldering components, and the assembling of small circuits for various applications, and in the process you can learn some of the basics of electricity and electronics. This club will meet Monday in F332 from 3-4.
The cricket club will meet in the Shamrock hall from 3 to 4 pm next Tuesday. New members are welcome to try out. No prior experience is necessary
Students, if you feel that a career in architecture, engineering or construction work may be in your future, then the ACE is just for you. What is ACE? ACE mentoring program provides students with an opportunity to collaborate and learn from professionals in the field of design and construction. Experts will share advice and valuable skills about what’s needed to be successful. You will also complete an actual project and have the chance to make good contacts and earn scholarship money at the end of the process. If you are interested in learning more about ACE, then please see Mr. CM in F332. Also, those students who were in the program last year need to reconfirm their interest by signing up again. The ACE club will meet every other Wednesday, and the first meeting will be early next month.
If you are interested in Ping Pong, you can join the ping pong club. The ping pong club meets every other Thursday from 3:10 to 4:10 in the convocation hall. Please sign up with Mr. CM, ASAP in room F332. The club meets in the convocation hall.
