Daily Announcements for Friday, March 17, 2023

Juniors: Your retreat days resume next week on Tuesday, March. 28. You will go in alphabetical order, so check the rosters outside of Campus Ministry offices and in your theology classrooms. Remind your parents to complete both permission slips, found in PowerSchool through the Parent sign-in Portal. On your retreat day: You won’t go to Advising – you go directly to the cafeteria. You’ll be outside all day, so dress in comfortable pants/shorts, tennis shoes or boots, a T-shirt, and hoodie or jacket depending on the weather. Lunch is NOT included so bring a bagged lunch and a water. Check your school email the day before your retreat for all the details.

WaterStep Shoe Drive begins March 20-31. Collections bins are placed at the Rotunda, Cafeteria, outside T215. Bring your old shoes- any type, any size, any style. No single shoes or shoes with mold. Shoes will be sent to venders in developing countries to be sold. Funds from shoe sales are used to provide clean drinking water and filtration units in the same communities

Don’t forget to get your tickets online at www.trinitydota.com for our Spring Musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels! Running March 7-26

Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels takes us to the French Riviera and centers around two con men: the suave, sophisticated, and smooth-talking, Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money and a small-time crook, Freddy Benson, who humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother’s failing health. After attempting to work together, they realize this small French town isn’t big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female heiress, Christine Colgate, wins and the other must leave town. Nominated for eleven Tony awards, this sophisticated, suave with a good dash of mischief, hysterical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score and a hilarious battle of cons that ensures the audience will keep laughing, humming, and guessing to the very end!
