ChooseWell Communities annual Walk Through the Wild. The 4th Annual Walk is being held TOMORROW at the Louisville Zoo.  It’s our largest fundraiser and raises the profile of the important purpose that ChooseWell serves.  I am reaching out to local schools to request help promoting this event and would like to see if there is any way Trinity promotes community events that could be used to promote the Walk Through the Wild. Students can receive a discounted rate at the following site: https://www.choose-well.org/wttw. They can sign up as individuals or create teams. Come to academic services for the sign up flyer.

The soccer team is sponsoring a coat drive for Kentucky Refugee Ministries.  Please bring in new or gently used coats of all sizes and thicknesses to the bins in the Rotunda and the Library.  The drive will run through TODAY.

The Trinity Freshman Dance will take place on Saturday, November 6 from 8-11 PM. The dance will take place outside Shamrock Hall under a heated tent and will feature a DJ, a photo booth, light refreshments, and festival games. Attire is semi-formal (Freshmen should wear a sports coat, dress shirt, tie, khakis, and dress shoes). Tickets for the dance are $25 per couple and will be on sale in the Academic Services Office during first lunch and after school today thru Friday, November 5.

Any student that missed the meeting on AP testing that wishes to take an AP test must see Mr. Diehl in his office, T125, as soon as possible.

Junior Retreat Days: You will go in alphabetical order, so check the rosters posted on the cafeteria flatscreens, outside of Campus Ministry offices, and in your theology classrooms. Remind your parents to complete the permission slip, found in PowerSchool through the Parent sign-in Portal. On your retreat day: You won’t go to Advising – you go directly to the cafeteria. You’ll be outside all day, so dress in jeans, tennis shoes or boots, a Trinity shirt, and hoodie or jacket depending on the weather. Lunch is NOT included so bring a bagged lunch. Check your school email the day before your retreat for all the details.

Attention Chinese, French, German, & Spanish students:

The World Language Clubs will go to the Oriental House on Shelbyville Road on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9.

  • Students: Bring your own money, about $20.

  • Have your parents complete the Trinity Transportation Form and return it to your language teacher. Sign up by next Thurs, Nov 4.

Attention all Business Rocks:  The next meeting of Trinity’s FBLA club will be held on Tuesday, November 2 in T318, at 3 p.m..  We will work on choosing events and will also be electing officers for the 2021-2022 school year.  All members should plan to attend this short meeting.

The drumline is looking for new members. We practice every THURSDAY after school in convocation hall. No experience necessary. Any information please contact Mr. Mata in room F240 or email him at mata@trinityrocks.com

Are you getting into spooky season? Have you drawn any spooky things, written a scary short story, or recorded your own version of the “Halloween” theme song? Well, submit these to the AXIOM for this month’s creative challenge. Go to Trinity.rocks, click the Axiom button, and then click the Axiom Submissions button. The winner of this month’s challenge will be able to select a gift card to whatever they choose. Submit by TODAY to be eligible.

The next meeting for Culinary Club is scheduled for Tuesday, November 16.  Plan on the meeting lasting approximately two hours. We look forward to cooking with you and sharing a meal!

Video game club members will meet TODAY.

Any student interested in the St. Joseph of Arimathea Society should email or see Mrs. deGolian in the library.  Students in this important ministry serve at burials for homeless and indigent members of the Louisville community on alternating Thursdays.  We are in need of more students willing to serve.  You do not attend every burial.  Contact Mrs. deGolian or Mr. Domzalski with questions.

Attention French students, French Scrabble Team meets after school on Mondays and Wednesdays in Mr. Wilson’s room F237.  Snacks provided!

The Trinity Robotics Club meets every Monday after school in the Trinity Hall Technology Center.  New members are always welcome!

We will be saying the Rosary at 2:30 p.m. every Friday. We will say the rosary by the Mary Statue, weather permitting. We will provide the rosaries. Do not worry if you do not know how to pray the rosary, we will be glad to show you. Every other Tuesday we will say the rosary during advising. Students are encouraged to attend. Make an e-hall pass and meet at the Mary statue weather permitting. We will start the prayer at 8:15 and should be done by 8:45. All who are able is welcome to attend.

Do you know that most stuff around us deals with electronics? Do you like to gain more insight into this subject, then sign up with Mr. CM by signing up with Remind. To sign up, text the message    @THSEL2122     to the number 81010. This club involves hands on activities like soldering, desoldering components, assembling small circuits for various applications and in the process learn some of the basics of electricity and electronics. The club will meet on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of every month, from 3 to 4 pm, in Room F332.

Athletics:

Any freshmen football players that would like to tryout for basketball – this also includes the gentlemen who were invited back from the 1st round of tryouts. Monday, 11/1 and Tuesday 11/2 from 3pm to 4:15pm in Shamrock Hall.

Your Trinity Cross Country Rocks will compete TOMORROW at the KHSAA State Meet. The meet is held at the Bourbon County Cross Country Park in Paris, KY. The race begins at 4pm. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan. 

The varsity football Rocks will host Marshall County in the first round of the KHSAA 6A playoffs this Friday, Nov. 5 at Marshall Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm. Student pre-sale tickets are $5 at the Athletics Office ticket window or on GoFan.
