Students that turn 18 on, or before Nov. 6, 2018, can vote in the KY primary elections to be held in May. Attention all Juniors and Seniors signed up to take AP tests: There is a mandatory meeting Thursday after school in the cafeteria to complete the pre-administration session. You MUST attend this meeting to prepare the forms needed to take the AP tests in May.

Mozart. Metallica. What do these guys have in common? Answer: They know how to rock, and you can hear both this Sunday, April 29. Trinity’s Handbell choir and Guitar 2 class will present a “Mozart Meets Metallica” concert this Sunday at 7 p.m. in the theater auditorium. This performance is free and open to the public. Guest musicians such as Max Urton, Ruri Kerr, and Mr. Daniel will also be lending their talents. So, be sure to come support your Trinity brothers as they present an entertaining evening of music this Sunday at 7 p.m. in the theater auditorium. They want to see a full house. See you there!
The annual Pink-White flag football game between Assumption and Sacred Heart, will be played on Friday, April 27, at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium. Dance teams from Trinity and St X will perform at halftime. Game details are:
The Pink White game is a charity fundraising event for the Norton Cancer Institute Breast Health Program
Kick off will be at 7:30 pm, Friday, April 27; Gates will open at 6:30 pm
Tickets are $10 each and must be purchased from one of the four participating schools (Trinity, St X, Assumption or Sacred Heart) during the week leading up to the game (No tickets will be sold at the stadium on the day of the game)
Trinity will sell tickets for the Pink White game in the Trinity Athletics Ticket Office
Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4 pm
Trinity will also sell Pink White t-shirts for $10 each the week of the game, as follows:

Backpacks will not be allowed into the stadium for the game; all fans entering the gates for this game are subject to random bag checks for security purposes. Trinity and Sacred Heart will sit on the home side of the stadium; St X and Assumption will sit on the visitor’s side of the stadium
Do you have skills on the basketball court? Trinity is hosting a two on two tournament to help children in developing countries with necessary medical surgeries they cannot afford. Trinity will be hosting a 2 on 2 basketball tournament fundraiser on Saturday, April 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM in Shamrock Gym. Admittance into the tournament is the low price of $5, with all the proceeds going directly to Operation Smile, an international organization that provides safe and effective surgery for children in third world countries with a cleft lip or cleft palate. The winners of the tournament will each receive a $25 Chick-Fil-A gift card. Signup for the tournament will begin during lunches next week.

The Junior Formal will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the Kentucky Exposition Center from 9 PM to midnight. Tickets the Junior Formal will go on sale next Monday, April 23 during 2nd and 3rd lunches. Tickets can also be purchased in Mr. Klein’s office, F342, before or after school. Tickets are $30 per couple if bought during April. Ticket prices go up to $40 if you wait and buy them in May. So buy your tickets soon. Also, our friends on Poplar Level Road are having a dance that same night, so ask that girl you’ve been meaning to ask, soon! Juniors, this is your dance! Make it a great one and that begins with you being there.
Quick! You still have a chance to practice an act of kindness by bringing in a new toy for a child. The toys will go to Jarrett’s Joy Cart. The Joy Cart delivers toys to children in the cancer wing of the Norton Children’s Hospital downtown. Simply place the toy in one of the bins outside of Mr. Luken’s office, inside the library, or in the rotunda. The toy drive has been extended until Friday, April 27. On Saturday, April 21, Trinity’s choir participated in the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) solo and ensemble festival. This event, held at UofL’s School of Music, is designed to give student musicians a rating and feedback about their musical skills. THS’s choir, under the direction of Mr. Scott Ross, received a “Distinguished” rating. This is the highest rating that is awarded at such events, and is indicative of a superior musical performance. Congratulations to the choir, and go music Rocks!
Attention all food lovers and Culinary Club members- The Culinary Club will meet and cook another great meal Monday, April 30. We are happy to let everyone know that FLIK’s very own celebrity chef, Chef Jet Tila (pronounced Tee-La), will be at Trinity on Tuesday, May 1. All food lovers are invited to stay after school that day to watch Chef Jet in action. Make plans to stay the following Monday and Tuesday for some great food experiences. “See you in the kitchen!”

Beta Club is open to any current freshmen, sophomore or junior that is currently not a member of Beta Club. Again, this is for NEW MEMBERS only. The National Honor Society is accepting applications for new members. To be considered for membership you must have a 3.7 Cumulative GPA. Applications can be picked up from Mrs. deGolian in the library and turned in to her when complete. The deadline is Thursday, May 3.
