John Kahl ’69 named to the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association (KGCA) Hall of Fame

Congratulations are in order for Trinity Alum and retired Faculty Member and Coach, John Kahl ’69.  He has been named to the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association (KGCA) Coaches Hall of Fame, Class of 2020.  The Class will be inducted on Sunday, September 20, 2020, during the KGCA All State Championships, held at the University of Kentucky Club in Lexington.

John retired after (40) years at Trinity.  He was head coach of the Trinity golf program from 1979 to 1992, and assistant in 1978. During his tenure, Trinity won 4 state championships (1978, 1979, 1988, 1990), was runner up one year, and third place 3 times. His teams qualified for the state tournament 10 times, winning 7 regional championships. John also served as a KGA rules official for 27 years, working the KHSAA state tournament 25 times.
