Trinity Cross Country Camp “Courage, Guts, and Determination”
Trinity’s cross-country camp focuses on fun, hard work, and the teamwork dedicated to the common cause of becoming a stronger distance runner. During the camp, athletes will learn the basics of distance running by experiencing various training methods (intervals, fartlek, tempo, distance, striders) as well as hearing guest speakers (high school, college, and beyond) discuss training techniques, racing strategies, nutrition, and memorable running moments. This is all done in an environment that is focused on teamwork and fun. The week concludes with a race. All athletes will be recognized with a t-shirt and a certificate of completion.
Grades: 5-9 (Boys and Girls)
Dates: June 17 – 20
Time: 6 – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Seneca Park (meet first day near the playground and bathrooms)
Details: Athletes should wear running shoes, shorts, a t-shirt, and bring a water bottle and towel. Fluids and snacks will also be available.
Note: Checks should be made out to Scott Holzknecht and mailed to Trinity High School, Attn: Scott Holzknecht, 4011 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY, 40207. Once payment is received it will secure your child’s place in camp. Registration closes on June 13.
