School Year Starts with Strong Enrollment

Students and teachers are settling into their daily routines while annual special events like the Class of 2023 Academic Convocation, Opening Mass and Rockin’ signal milestone moments.

We were blessed with another strong enrollment, totaling 1,200 students. This is a four percent increase from when our seniors entered as freshmen.

The Class of 2023 entered from 65 different schools with an increase of those coming from local Catholic grade schools. Students arrived from Jefferson and surrounding counties, from both sides of the Ohio River. We again welcomed many students who transferred into our upper grades, some from local schools and others from out of town.

Our House System and block schedule allow each student to feel like he belongs. In a few weeks we should be able to report the lowest average class size in school history. These factors allow us to continue the record-setting student achievement we have been enjoying.
