Trinity Lacrosse received some big news ahead of tonight’s State Championship game at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium. Seven Rocks were voted to the Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League All-State team! Will Warner, Noah Kessler, Jack McClellan and Dalton Hubbs were voted 1st Team All-State. Gavin Noland, Blake Zupetz and Blake Godwin were voted All-State Honorable Mention. In addition, Will Warner was named a US Lacrosse All-American.
Trinity’s Head Lacrosse Coach Pete Schroeder praised the collective team effort as he talked about how special it was for these Rocks to be honored by the KSLL.
“It’s a tremendous honor for the whole Trinity Lacrosse program. Whether it’s the blue-collar stuff that’s helping us win games, shutting the door on our opponents from a goalkeeping standpoint, or being an offensive weapon from an attacking standpoint, none of it’s possible without the enthusiasm and passion for the game that these guys have. Our kids have worked hard all year and put together a very good season. We’re bringing the fastest game on two feet to our own backyard on Friday night. We would love to see Rock Nation show out!”
The Lacrosse State Tournament Championship, featuring the Rocks versus St. Xavier, will be played tonight at Trinity’s Marshall Stadium. The game will start at 6 p.m.
Go Rocks! Take State!
