January continues to be a solid month for the Speech and Debate Rocks.
On January 20, the sophomores of the Speech Team competed in the Rocket Invitational hosted by Assumption High School. Preston Romanov advanced to the supersession of Congressional Debate. The team of Gus Boyer and Charlie Thegreat advanced to finals and claimed sixth place in Improvisational Duo.
On the opposite coast, upperclassmen Mark Hughes and Cooper Winrich were also putting Trinity on the map in the Peninsula Invitational in Rolling Estates, California. Competing in Lincoln-Douglas debate, Hughes ended with a solid 3-3 finish and was named 13th best speaker out of 50 competitors.
