Over the summer, Trinity’s Class of 2023, Connor Kalvar, won the USA Track and Field (USATF) State Championship in Hammer Throw. His performance at the club level this past spring and summer also landed him in the Top 50 National High School Hammer Rankings with a toss of 171’4”!
Also this summer, Connor applied for, and was accepted into, Rose-Hulman’s Operation Catapult engineering program. He and his team built a working trebuchet from scratch. This intensive two-week program hosted students from across the nation and gave students access to the culture and professors of Rose-Hulman. With a successful project completed, Connor earned an $2,500 scholarship ($10,000 for 4 years) at Rose-Hulman!
“Trinity has been a big part of my continued academic success and Trinity’s reputation has opened a lot of doors for me. I am incredibly appreciative,” Connor said.
Way to go! Trinity is proud of you!
