Trinity Senior Honored at LYPC Celebration Dinner

The Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council (LYPC), an organization that offers high school students the opportunity to make real change in their community, hosted their annual End-of-the-Year Celebration Dinner “Passion & Perseverance” at the Olmsted on Monday, March 27.

At the dinner, three LYPC teams granted $30,000 to local nonprofit organizations based on the work they have done throughout the 22/23 school year including Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Gate of Hope, Change Today, Change Tomorrow, Dare to Care, and Teenage Parent Program (TAPP).

Lucas Osborn’23 a senior at Trinity was one of the decision makers concerning the funding of the grants. Lucas has been a member of LYPC for the last two years. In addition to his service for LYPC, Lucas is a member of the varsity lacrosse team, power lifting team, advanced program and has made the honor roll all four years at Trinity. Lucas has scholarship offers to Rice University, the University of Virginia, Case Western Reserve, Colby College, and Northeastern University. Lucas wants to study business in college.

Lucas was supported at the LYPC celebration by his school counselor, Dr. Aaron Striegel H’16. Trinity is proud of Lucas!
