Trinity Senior Wins State in Speech and Debate

Congratulations to Trinity’s Ben McBride ’23! The Speech and Debate Rocks traveled to Centre College the weekend of Saturday, March 11 to compete in the Kentucky District (State) Tournament for the National Speech and Debate Association. This tournament qualifies students for nationals.

Ben won Congressional Debate in the House of Representatives! He was also the alternate for International Extemporaneous Speaking and Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking. Ben opted to compete in Domestic Extemp at the national tournament in Phoenix in June.

Additionally, head coach Amy Zuccaro was named District Coach of the Year and is in contention for National Coach of the Year!
