Trinity’s Connor Kalvar ’23, who was previously featured here, won the 2023 USA Track and Field National Youth Indoor Championship in the men’s weight throw on March 18, 2023 at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center (NSLC) in Louisville, KY. He won with a toss of 19.92 meters or 65’4.25″.
Connor went undefeated at the NSLC this indoor season. Posting wins at the Louisville Urban League Invite, the Southeast Showdown, the KTCCCA President’s Day Weekend Invite and the Eastern Indoors Invitational (competing for Trinity HS). Connor also set a new KY state record and NSLC Facility Record with his toss of 20.10 meters or 65’11.25”.
