Trinity Sophomore Takes Top Prize in Louisville Science Fair

Trinty’s Krish Gupta won the first prize in the Biochemistry category at the Louisville Regional Science Fair! In addition, Krish won two special awards. One from the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the other from the KY Chapter of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers. He won more than $500 in prize money and has been invited by both organizations to present his project at their next meeting.

The Louisville Regional Science and Engineering Fair is an annual science and engineering fair held in Louisville, Kentucky. Students in grades 6-12 from 52 Kentucky counties may enter the fair.

Krish now qualifies to represent Trinity at the state science fair organized by Eastern Kentucky University on March 27th. If he finishes in the top 5 projects there, he stands a chance to represent Trinity at the International Science Fair

Krish hopes to use this success and his passion for science to inspire other students at Trinity.

“I am hoping to start a science fair club at Trinity and have started to talk with some teachers in our science department. With more Trinity students entering the science fair, I know that we have a good chance to carve out recognition for our school at the Louisville Regional Science Fair, and perhaps at the Kentucky Science Fair and International Science Fairs.”

Krish Gupta ’23

Keep up the good work, Krish!
