This is a reminder that if you are planning on getting your driver’s permit over Spring Break, you must have a school compliance form. The Student Phonathon ends tonight with Becket House manning the phones. There are signup sheets for all the Houses in your Advising classroom. If you can’t make your House’s assigned night, come on a different night and your House will still get credit. This is a marquee event, so your participation is important. The Phonathon takes place is Alumni Hall from 5:30 until 8:30 and pizza, snacks and soft drinks are provided. You can also earn three service hours for participating; in addition to receiving a free t-shirt and gift certificates. If your House has at least 20 volunteers, they will earn a dress down day, and the House with the most volunteers earns a pizza party during Advising. So sign up today!
The Easter season gives us an opportunity to reflect on our own lives and to make a positive impact on others’ lives. Now through April 13, Flannan House is holding a toy drive for Jarrett’s Joy Cart. A cancer patient named Jarrett started the cart to bring some joy to kids while they are in the hospital going through treatments. Last year our total was roughly 300 toys. This year we would like to bring even more joy to those young cancer patients. Donation bins will be in main areas of the school: the Rotunda, Student Affairs Office, on the second floor of Old Trinity Hall and in Mr. Wilson’s room F237. Thank you in advance for buying a matchbox car, a coloring book, a small stuffed animal, a Barbie doll, a comedy DVD, or even an iTunes gift card to give to Jarrett’s Joy Cart. Flannan House members plan to distribute the toys after Spring Break.
Yesterday’s Uno matches were dominated by the previously winless Clicks Mulloy. Clicks has obviously been working on his game. Unfortunately, he is also Trinty’s ace photographer so there was no one there to capture his three victories. Aaron False Uno Fernandez picked up the only other win of the day. Special shout out to Bailey Dance King Jones who joined us for the first time.
The Tim’s Flying Club will meet this afternoon, in Mr. CM’s room F134, after school from 3 to 4 p.m.
All Beta Club service hour sheets are due by this Friday at 2 p.m. Please complete service hour sheets and turn them into either Mrs. Darby or Mr. Becker.

Our Tennis Rocks have moved closer to dethroning St. X but came up a bit short yesterday. Freshman Presley Thieneman gave X’s Drew Singerman, the state’s number one player, quite a scare, taking the first two games of the match, but ultimately falling 4-6 and 5-7. Junior Cameron Strause and Freshman Justin Long, playing at #2 and #3 singles respectively, put up a good fight but ran into some very tough St. X competition and lost both matches in straight sets. Our #1 Doubles team of Sam Rueff and Brandon Chou pushed their opponents to the brink, providing an exciting match, but fell in similar fashion to Thieneman – 4-6, 5-7. Finally, the #2 Doubles team of Senior Zach Kelly and Freshman Michael Chou pulled out a solid win at 7-6 and 6-2.
The Volleyball Rocks will take on St. X this evening in Steinhauser Gym. Matches are at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Make plans to come out and cheer on the Rocks.
