Wednesday, March 6

Once again, a reminder that school is not in session on campus on Wednesday, and all school offices are closed to allow the school family to travel to Lexington to support the Basketball Rocks in the Sweet Sixteen at 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday will be an online Green Day. Should the Rocks advance on Wednesday, we will have another online Green Day on Friday for that 1:30 p.m. contest.

Also, keep in mind this safe option to travel there …

Trinity is looking into the possibility of offering bus transportation for Trinity students to the KHSAA Sweet Sixteen game on Wednesday, March 6. To secure a bus for the trip, we will need at least 40 students to reserve a spot on the bus. The cost to ride the bus will be $10.

Students will also need to purchase a ticket for the game. Tickets are now available and can be purchased at Trinity for $10 or at Rupp Arena for $13. Students will need to pick up a permission form from Ms. Carrico in Academic Services today and return the form and their $10 payment to Mr. Klein during lunch tomorrow in order to secure a spot on the bus. If we don’t get the required number of reservations, students will be notified on Tuesday, March 5, during Advising and their bus fee will be refunded. If we do get the required number of students, then the bus will depart Trinity’s Alumni Hall parking lot on Wednesday, March 6 at 11:15 a.m.

Students should arrive at Trinity by 10:30 a.m. The bus will arrive in Lexington at approximately 12:30 p.m. Students will arrive back at Trinity between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

A couple of reminders about Rupp Arena …

Bag Sizes and Entry/Security Policies: Rupp Arena will continue to implement a bag policy that requires that bags do not exceed 12” by 6” x 12”. Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, backpacks or any bag larger than the permissible size. The KHSAA and Rupp Arena are encouraging patrons to travel light for quicker entry. Also, metal detectors may be used at each gate upon entry.

Construction: There is extensive construction underway to the Lexington Civic Center and areas around Rupp Arena. Parking will be even more challenging than in previous years. If driving, plan to arrive early in order to find adequate parking and maneuver the construction zones.
