A word from Senior Director for Development Brian J. Monell ’86
People say to me all the time, “I could never do what you do. I could never ask anyone for money!” Hearing this usually brings a smile to my face because I get it. Money is a very personal subject for many. However, my response to this comment is always the same. I am humbled and grateful to raise money for Trinity High School, a school that works so hard to prepare our sons for college and helps mold them into men of faith and men of character. I’m a proud alum ’86 and so is my son Christopher ’19.
When I ask our alumni “Why do you donate to Trinity?” the typical response is “Because I want my son to have the Trinity experience like I did.” This says a lot about the work being done here.
The Trinity Annual Fund is our cornerstone fund-raising program designed to assist families with a demonstrated need and make the Trinity experience more accessible. This annual effort begins July 1 and ends June 30. Due to COVID-19 many of our new and current families are facing financial hurdles, and there is a growing need for financial aid. I ask you to consider donating if you believe that you took away something of value from your experience as a student here. This also holds true for your son, grandson, nephew, or the kid down the street. Your gift is a gift back based upon what was given to you. You acknowledge that others before you built the buildings, started the traditions, and took on the risks of starting or forming the school. Your gift now follows their example of giving to another who comes after you. If you have already made a gift to Trinity this year, thank you! We realize that many of you are also experiencing financial hardships, and we understand that right now you might not be able to participate. We would appreciate your prayers for our students, especially our seniors.
It’s easy to give. Just visit trinityrocks.com and click “Make a Gift” and select a one-time or monthly option under payment plan. A debit or credit card may be used to complete the transaction. There’s also an option to donate by check. All gifts make a difference – no matter the amount. And 100 percent of all gifts go to tuition assistance.
Thank you for all that you do to support Trinity.
