The Trinity High School Math Department
Trinity High School Math Department
At Trinity we personalize each student’s academic placement in every class starting freshman year. Depending on their strengths and challenges students can be placed in one or more of our four Academic Programs and some classes are taught at up to seven different levels freshman year including math.
A student’s mathematics trajectory is based on the following:
- Placement Test Scores
- Algebra I Exam
- Recommendation of teacher
All courses in each sequence are taught at the level of difficulty as specified. This will be determined by the factors listed above and conversations between families, Academic Deans, and teachers. Students who want to be placed beyond Algebra I must pass an exam given at Trinity in late spring. Incoming students who have studied beyond Algebra I are considered on an individual basis.
If you have questions please contact our Academic Dean, Mr. Jeremy Jackson, at jackson@trinityrocks.com or 502-736-2135.
