Friday, August 22, the entire Trinity Community will gather together for Opening Mass for the 2025-26 school year.
For Opening Mass, we pause classes to celebrate the beginning of a new school year and ask for God’s blessing on our community. The senior class officers will also present the theme and poster, helping to set a strong tone for the year.
Please find important details regarding Opening Mass below:
Mass is Friday, Aug. 22, at 8 a.m. All students are expected to attend.
Students report to Advising by 8 a.m.
After attendance is taken, we will be called over to the gym by House and sit with Advising class.
Seniors will sit in chairs on the floor of the gym.
This is a special occasion, so all students are encouraged to wear a sport coat* in addition to the regular dress code. SENIORS take the lead on this! *Not if the heat index tops 90 degrees.
This is a solemn and prayerful event, not a pep rally. Emphasize the appropriate behavior - quiet, reverence, and being respectful.
Phones should be left at home or in advising classrooms or lockers.
There will be a worship aid to help everyone follow along and participate.
At the end of mass, Fr. Zettel will give instructions regarding the seniors’ exit from the gym, to process out and follow him to the statue outside of the rotunda.
Underclassmen and faculty will then be dismissed by Dr. Zoeller. Students should return to Advising to get their phones before leaving for the weekend.
Dismissal will be around 10 a.m. No classes will be held after mass. The cafeteria will be open until noon for students waiting for a ride.
