Saturday, January 13, the Trinity JV and Varsity quick recall teams competed in the Jefferson County Nonpublic School league tournament. As the name indicates, the league is comprised of all private and Catholic schools in the county plus Providence HS from southern Indiana.

The varsity team finished the regular season undefeated for the second season in a row. The team has finished in first place in the league regular season four of the last five years. In the tournament, the Rocks beat Sacred Heart and KCD before their undefeated run ended, losing 25-21 to a very good Collegiate team. The Rocks will look for avenge that defeat on Saturday, January 20,  when they face Collegiate in district play for the Governor’s Cup.

Trinity’s record in league play stands at 68-4 over the last five seasons! Three of the four starters for the Rocks are juniors, so Head Coach Mark Amick is excited for next season.

The JV team also finished league play undefeated and defended their crown by winning the tournament. The JV quick recall team has not lost a match in league play since the 2018-19 season, compiling a record of 62-0 over that time. The team beat DeSales, Francis Parker, and Collegiate to win the tournament.
