Congratulations are in order for Trinity Esports Head Coach Jack O'Keefe, his staff, and the Varsity Esports Rocks.
On Thursday, May 1, at the Cornerstone Esports Facility on the campus of the University of Kentucky, the Trinity Varsity Esports Rocks captured the 2025 Spring KHSAA Esports State Championship.
The team (playing 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate') defeated Manual High School 3-2 in the semifinals before defeating Lafayette High School in the finals, 3-0.
This championship marks "back-to-back" state titles for the Esports Rocks (won in fall 2024). It is their fourth overall KHSAA State Championship since 2021.
