From Trinity President Mr. James Torra H'12:
Led by our principal Dr. Dan Zoeller, and guided by their teachers, counselors and support staff, the Class of 2026 leaves Trinity after achieving record levels of success.
This diverse group of learners will depart with college merit scholarship offers totaling, so far, just over $45 million, a figure that is expected to increase in the coming weeks. Collectively, this class, along with recent graduating classes, has been offered more than $300 million in college merit scholarships.
Paul Diehl, director of the Advanced Program, reports that close to 800 Advanced Placement exams will be taken. The class includes those with perfect ACT scores, and a record number of students recognized by the National Merit Corporation and the College Board.
Senior Class Moderators and College and Career Counselors, Ms. Allie Kerns and Mr. Matt Manning, report that seniors have received admission offers from a school-record 200 institutions, including 26 Catholic colleges and universities. Schools accepted to include Baylor University, Carnegie Mellon University, Dartmouth College, Emory University, Johns Hopkins University, Kenyon College, New York University, Penn State University, St. John’s University, Stanford University, and the University of Virginia, along with institutions in London, Scotland, Rome, and Wales.
Importantly, members of the Class of 2026 are pursuing a wide range of post-graduation paths. While many will continue their education at the collegiate level, others have chosen to enter the workforce, military service, technical training, or other purposeful endeavors. These students have developed thoughtful plans that reflect their individual gifts and aspirations.
Beyond academics, this class has made a lasting impact on the Trinity community. They have contributed thousands of hours of service, led numerous charitable initiatives, and participated fully in the spiritual life of the school, with nearly all attending the Senior Retreat. Their involvement in theatre, music, and the arts has been outstanding, and they have demonstrated excellence across academic competitions including Quick Recall, KUNA, KYA, Speech and Debate, and Governor’s Cup.
So far in athletics, we have won two team state championships, have three team state runners-up, and three individual or relay state titles this year.
More details of their accomplishments are listed below.
As they depart, may they carry with them the lessons of God discovered within these halls and the wisdom that will continue to guide them forward.
Please keep the Class of 2026 in your prayers as they are celebrated during their Graduation ceremonies.
