Trinity is proud to partner with Operation Support Peace for our next "Dollar Dress Down Day" on Thursday, October 22. OSP and Trinity have an even more in-depth and unique partnership in that its founder, Joyce Curry, was awarded the 2026 Trinity Peace Medal.
In 2003, Joyce started Operation Support Peace, her first non-profit organization, to support military and their families Since 2003, Operation Support Peace has sent thousands of care packages to soldiers deployed overseas. The agency has also provided numerous care packages for low-income military families in Kentucky, as well as thousands of Christmas presents for children of low-income military families.
From Curry:
"Operation Support Peace was founded in 2003, when the war in Iraq began, with a simple but meaningful goal: to remind deployed service members that they are remembered, appreciated, and supported while serving far from home.
Since our founding, Operation Support Peace has sent more than 10,000 care packages to deployed military troops, along with thousands of cards and letters filled with messages of encouragement, gratitude, and support. These packages and personal messages help provide a connection to home and let our service members know that their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed.
Our support extends beyond deployed troops. We believe military families also deserve recognition and assistance, especially during challenging times. At Thanksgiving, we provide food donations to military families so they can enjoy a holiday meal together. At Christmas, we provide toys for children in low-income military families, helping bring joy to families who may be facing financial difficulties.
We also recognize the important role military spouses play. When a service member is deployed, spouses often carry the responsibilities of the household, family, and everyday life on their own. Operation Support Peace provides small gift bags for military spouses as a way of saying, “We see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for all that you do.”
Our mission is simple:
“Uniting communities to provide care, compassion, and support for our armed forces.”
Operation Support Peace is built on the belief that supporting our military is a community effort. Through donations, volunteers, cards, care packages, holiday assistance, and acts of kindness, individuals and organizations can make a meaningful difference in the lives of service members and their families.
For more than two decades, Operation Support Peace has been honored to serve those who serve our country. We are grateful to everyone who has helped us carry out this mission and look forward to continuing to unite communities in support of our military.
Sincerely,
Joyce Curry
