On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Trinity community will gather for an all-school mass, presided by the Most Rev. Shelton J. Fabre, Archbishop of Louisville.
All students are encouraged to wear a sport coat.
We will be on an Assembly B schedule, so all students will be dismissed at 2:50, including seniors.
On that morning, students should report to ADVISING. After attendance is taken, we will be dismissed to the gym and sit with advising in our assigned seats.
Seniors will sit in chairs on the floor of the gym.
After mass, Dr. Zoeller will dismiss us back to Advising, and then we’ll move to 1st block.
SPECIAL SCHEDULING NOTE - Skipping ahead a few weeks, the Monday after spring break, April 8, a total solar eclipse will occur and be visible in parts of Kentucky and southern Indiana. In Louisville, we will see a very deep partial eclipse. It begins around 2 p.m. with the largest impact here around 3:15 p.m.
Many schools plan to dismiss early that day. To allow students time to get home or travel for an even better view, we will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. that day.
No lunch will be served on April 8. Each class will meet for an hour. Our cafeteria will remain open until 2 p.m.
Information about after school activities will be announced by individual moderators and coaches before spring break.
As we start Catholic Schools Week, today’s theme is Celebrating Our Community. Trinity is committed to the values of compassion and personal responsibility. We loved celebrating our State Champion Cross Country and Football Rocks! Our coaches provided some great wisdom for all students. Congratulations once more to all of the student-athletes who were honored as part of the Trinity cross country and football teams. Go Rocks!
Thursday, January 25, will be a $1 Dress Down Day benefitting Beacon House. Beacon House is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for men. Students can dress down for $1, or more, in jeans/khakis, a Trinity shirt/jacket/hoodie, and athletic/dress shoes. T-shirts must be tucked in. Seniors can wear clothing from the college they are attending next year. Money will be collected during advising.
Trinity’s Sophomore Dance will take place on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 8 to 11 PM in Shamrock Gym. Tickets for the dance are $20 per couple or $10 for an individual ticket. Tickets will be on sale in the Academic Services Office during lunch and after school from Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Feb. 2. Students must arrive before 9 PM and cannot leave before 10 PM. Attire for the dance is semi-formal. (Gentlemen should wear a sports coat, dress shirt, tie, khakis, and dress shoes. Ladies should wear a semi-formal dress or dressy separates.) With the continued winter weather, and forecasted drop in temperatures, all campus activities will remain canceled through tomorrow for the safety of all. Stay safe, stay warm, Trinity FAMILY!
Patrick House emerged as the champions of the house jigsaw puzzle contest. The team of Hayden Bufford, Brody Kaestner, Braydon Profumo, Jack Rader, Sam Seufert, Luke Vanlandingham, and Cooper Willmoth conquered the challenge with unparalleled speed and precision. Aquinas House secured second place with a display of impressive puzzle-solving skills. Gonzaga claimed third place, showcasing its knack for putting the pieces together. Kudos to Becket House for a valiant effort, securing fourth in the race to complete the 300-piece puzzle.
We will continue following direction from the Archdiocese of Louisville regarding weather related delays or cancellations. If a decision is made affecting school tomorrow, we will share information via text, email, our website and social media. It will also be communicated by local TV stations.

In case of a delay Trinity classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. with first bell occurring at 9:15 a.m. Dismissal will occur at 2:50 p.m. (no early Friday dismissal due to delay).

Again, at this time no decision has been made regarding school tomorrow. If more information is shared with us from the Archdiocese, we will pass along.

Congrats to senior Dylan McArthur ’24, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout! He is a member of Troop 175 at St. Edward Parish. For his Eagle Scout project, Dylan planned, obtained donations, and led the construction of a gaga ball pit at his alma mater, St. Edward School. The ball pit has quickly become the most popular place at recess! Additionally, he has served as the Senior Patrol Leader of the troop and attended high adventure bases in New Mexico and the Bahamas.
Wrapped in God’s Warmth is an organization founded by a junior at Mercy High School. She collects items and makes kits for those in need. Trinity will be collecting items until January 24. The items needed are blankets, gloves, hats, shelf stable snacks, and bottled water. Please bring in donations to the rotunda and outside T215.
