The 12th annual Alumni Retreat was held on Sat., Feb. 10. Over 130 attended the Retreat which provided an opportunity for alumni to slow down from their busy schedules, hear gifted speakers, and sit with God in prayer while re-connecting with their faith and Trinity Brotherhood. In addition, Brian Biermann '96, Tom Dubay H'94, and Bob Sheehan '77 shared their stories. Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Ron Domhoff H'98 and Fr. Dave Zettel '58. Trinity Forever!

On Tues., Feb. 6 the Trinity community gathered as one to celebrate Mass with Archbishop Shelton Fabre. He was joined by Trinity Chaplain Fr. Dave Zettel and other dedicated priests from throughout the Archdiocese. We thank the Archbishop for guiding us in prayer and sharing words of wisdom with our student body as they continue their faith-filled journey.
With the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11, Trinity's $1 Dress Down Day will be on Friday, February 9, benefitting Active Minds. Active Minds promotes mental health awareness and education for young adults. In addition to wearing Trinity or college gear for seniors, students can wear their favorite jersey. Basketball and other sleeveless jerseys must have a t-shirt under it. Dress down for a $1 or more. Money will be collected during first block.
Congratulations to Coach Mike Essig and the Swim Rocks for capturing the KHSAA Region Championship this past weekend. Best of luck at the state meet! Good luck to all our winter sports programs as they enter the final stretches of their seasons and postseasons. GO ROCKS!
On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Trinity community will gather for an all-school mass, presided by the Most Rev. Shelton J. Fabre, Archbishop of Louisville. All students are encouraged to wear a sport coat. We will be on an Assembly B schedule, so all students will be dismissed at 2:50, including seniors. On that morning, students should report to ADVISING. After attendance is taken, we will be dismissed to the gym and sit with advising in our assigned seats. Seniors will sit in chairs on the floor of the gym. After mass, Dr. Zoeller will dismiss us back to Advising, and then we’ll move to 1st block.
As we near the end of Catholic Schools Week, we are GRATEFUL for the skills, dedication, and generosity of our school leaders, teachers, staff, and volunteers who help Trinity’s students thrive in a community of people who care about them. Today we thank and celebrate these amazing people!
Catholic Schools Week continues today as we focus on Trinity preparing our students to succeed by using their God-given talents to the fullest throughout their lives. A special thanks to Fr. Martin Linebach, Fr. Kien Nguyen and Mr. Rodd Popson who recently visited campus. All three work for the Archdiocese of Louisville helping people discern their vocation and supporting the young men who are studying to become priests.
Today is National Freedom Day, commemorating the signing by Abraham Lincoln of a resolution that became the 13th amendment, which abolished slavery, to the U.S. Constitution.
As part of Catholic Schools Week, today we celebrate our GREAT students! We’re proud to have a diverse and vibrant student body who takes advantage of more than 100 extracurricular clubs and activities, gets involved in their House to build community, participates in a variety of sports, and so much more! Through these activities, students are able to find a group of friends who share the same interests and become their brothers for life.
Let’s give a warm Trinity welcome to our exchange students from Colegio Santa Ethnea in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They recently arrived in Louisville and will spend the next month living with their Trinity host families, attending classes, and enjoying a variety of cultural experiences on and off campus. In June, our host students will visit Argentina for a month to attend school and enjoy a similar experience. This is one of the many opportunities we offer students in an effort to make the world our classroom.
As part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration, students and faculty faced off in a fun-filled and spirited basketball game in front of the entire student body. Congratulations to the faculty on their win!

SPECIAL SCHEDULING NOTE - Skipping ahead a few weeks, the Monday after spring break, April 8, a total solar eclipse will occur and be visible in parts of Kentucky and southern Indiana. In Louisville, we will see a very deep partial eclipse. It begins around 2 p.m. with the largest impact here around 3:15 p.m.
Many schools plan to dismiss early that day. To allow students time to get home or travel for an even better view, we will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. that day.
No lunch will be served on April 8. Each class will meet for an hour. Our cafeteria will remain open until 2 p.m.
Information about after school activities will be announced by individual moderators and coaches before spring break.
As we start Catholic Schools Week, today’s theme is Celebrating Our Community. Trinity is committed to the values of compassion and personal responsibility. We strive to guide students toward a path of compassion, responsibility, and morality – this is why we place such an emphasis on service projects. As our students take part in these activities, they demonstrate the values of the Catholic faith and learn to make the world a better place.

We loved celebrating our State Champion Cross Country and Football Rocks! Our coaches provided some great wisdom for all students. Congratulations once more to all of the student-athletes who were honored as part of the Trinity cross country and football teams. Go Rocks!
Thursday, January 25, will be a $1 Dress Down Day benefitting Beacon House. Beacon House is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for men. Students can dress down for $1, or more, in jeans/khakis, a Trinity shirt/jacket/hoodie, and athletic/dress shoes. T-shirts must be tucked in. Seniors can wear clothing from the college they are attending next year. Money will be collected during advising.
