More than 20 alumni gathered for the monthly Alumni Mass in Trinity’s chapel on January 21. Faith has always been part of daily life at Trinity, and we believe that alumni should be included.
Check in with yourself and your faith and reconnect with the Trinity Brotherhood at the 14th annual Alumni Retreat on Saturday, February 14. It will be held at Trinity from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The retreat is open to Trinity alumni of all ages. It’s an extension of the Fourth Day of Senior Retreat and an opportunity for alumni to slow down from busy schedules, hear gifted speakers and just sit with God in prayer. Greg Herberger ’99, Greg Metry ’77 and Amos Stinson ’13 will share their stories this year.
Also, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered. The day will conclude with Mass celebrated by Revs. Ron Domhoff H’98 and Dave Zettel ’58. There is no cost to attend the retreat. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
For alumni who live outside the Louisville area, you may join remotely via Zoom.

The Trinity Alumni Business Circle gathered January 15 for lunch and a presentation on “AI and the Future of Work” by Vsimple CEO Buddy Bockweg ’97. More than 25 alumni attended.
Buddy shared his expertise about the AI boom and how businesses can capitalize on it. He also answered questions from attendees.

Alumni of all eras of Trinity's history remember Rev. Dave Zettel. He's Trinity's chaplain and is a member of the Class of 1958, the school's second graduating class. He still resides on campus in Flaget Hall (the Priest House).
Father Zettel celebrates Mass in Trinity’s chapel weekday mornings for faculty and students and an Alumni Mass on the third Wednesday of the month. (No reservations are necessary. Come to the rotunda from 7-7:15 a.m. and we’ll walk to the chapel.)
He also assists with the planning for the annual Alumni Retreat, which will be held on Saturday, February 14, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Trinity. The Trinity community gathered as one in Steinhauser Gymnasium to celebrate achievements in academics, our clubs, activities and athletics teams. Included in this recognition were Quick Recall, Speech & Debate, and our 2025 State Champion Esports, Baseball, Lacrosse, Track and Field, and Football teams. Congratulations to all our Rocks. We were also joined by members of the 1st, 10th, and 20th State Championship Football teams. Go Rocks! Trinity Forever!
Trinity is hosting a winter clothing items drive for Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Wrapped in God's Warmth. New or gently used coats and winter boots of all sizes for men, women, and children are going to KRM. Hats, gloves, scarves, handwarmers, bottled waters, blankets, and snacks are going to Wrapped in God's Warmth. Collection bins will be in the rotunda and T215. Items will be collected until January 23.
Wednesday, December 31, Trinity's Bowling Team, led by Head Coach John McCarthy '07, hosted the annual Joe Fowler Invitational at Ten Pin Strike and Spare. The event is named in honor of Joe Fowler '71, who was Trinity's first head coach for the bowling team. Over the course of his 41-year career at Trinity, Joe taught dozens of different courses including math, business law, and freshman success courses. Outside of the classroom, in addition to being the head bowling coach, Joe was also a House Mentor, moderator of the fishing club, and organizer of the Shamrock Bass Classic. He is also a member of the Trinity High School Hall of Fame.

Trinity alumnus Seth Hinkle, Class of 2016, visited our Future Business Leaders of America chapter to share his story. He talked about his years at Trinity, the University of Louisville and then finding a career as a senior digital sales representative with ADP. He also talked about his passions outside of his career, including acting, and work-life balance.
Additionally, Seth answered students’ questions about finance, choosing a major, Bitcoin and career paths.
“Hearing what these young men want out of their future is inspiring,” Seth said.
Seth credits Trinity for the work ethic, drive and ambition helped get started and propel his career.
The FBLA chapter is moderated by Trinity teacher Hallie Epperson.
